Home Cooling

The problem of household these days is how to keep up during those humid and hot days of summer. Fanning yourself alone may not be much. So how about taking a second look on your home cooling? Double check if your cooling appliances are still working, if not why not consider buying a new one. But first, get to know which among the home cooling systems best fit your home and your place.

Home cooling systems come in a variety of approaches, from electric driven to the solar powered, from the traditional to natural way of cooling, from the spacious to the handy, from the floor to the ceiling. The first way to know which one is good for your home is knowing how warm your area can be. It is said that the countries that lie near the equator are most likely the ones who experience more heat especially during the top of the day. A good home cooling design will work just for you.

If your house is just surrounded by trees, you are just about so lucky. Trees provide good shading and shading means good cooling for your house. If not, you may want to approach your nearest botanical garden that offers young trees. It is so good to invest on trees as a good way to cool down. It is environmentally safe as well.

Electric fans are cheaper ways to combat heat. However fans are not designed to cool down or lower temperature. Fans work by disturbing the normal flow of air through the house resembling the cooling effect of rushing wind. This home cooling approach is not ideal in places with so much humidity and constant temperature warming. Fans will not provide soothing effect as it will suck in warm air and blow it to a person. Fans do not encourage clean air as it will only spread more dusts in the whole house.

Ceiling fans also work the same with conventional desk or stand fans. Fans would best work as support to indoor cooling systems like the AC or air conditioner. It will help spread out the cooler air in hard to reach areas. Ceiling fans also work well if the warmness of the air temperature is mild and tolerable.

High speed air blowers like the windchaser is another variety of the ever growing family of fans. This turbo charged fan produces 40,000 BTUs of cooling might. And is great fan for extremely large spaces like gym or function hall.

For most homes however especially in urban areas, the AC or air conditioner is the top choice. In America, air conditioner refers to an electrical system that works in two ways. AC can be used to ventilate by sucking in the heat from a room. And also works to provide heat by means of refrigeration. In other countries, air conditioner only refers to the appliance that lowers and conditions temperature to an acceptable level.

There are two basic types of air conditioners. The first one is the portable air conditioner. This type of air conditioning unit is movable since it has wheels thus making it convenient to transfer from room to room. This system works by drawing air out of the area and use that air to cool the condenser inside. It also uses compressor-based refrigerants to exchange heat in the air.

Another type of AC is the central air. This home cooling system uses ducts to disperse air that underwent dehumidification and pipes to allocate cooled water to heat the exchangers. Among the benefits you can reap from using central air is that it removes dust and other microscopic elements resulting to a cleaner and cooler air. Central air are significantly more quite than the other types since the heat exchange fan and compressor are located outside the house of building.

There are still a number of other home cooling options available in the market including the more practical ways of ventilating your house. You must remember though to buy only environmentally friendly products. Making our planet safe will mean safe and comfortable living for us.
