Fireplace Pictures
Whether you are preparing the house for a birthday party, or a visitation, thanksgiving, Christmas, wedding planning, friends meeting, special occasion or just an occasional meeting, decorating the most visible part of your living is just about very easy. Your fireplace is like a throne of majestic beauty in your house. The fire exudes beauty of elegance, its materials, be it stone or bricks are a collage of creativity and vibrancy. And what better way to accessorize these elements than to have your perfect fireplace pictures.
Since the fireplace is the most likely place where people gather for warmth, would not it be nice to place some fireplace pictures as a good way to jumpstart a relaxing conversation. It may be a picture of your recent wedding, your kid’s first steps, your most memorable trip abroad, your first date, your collection of things or just your ordinary daily home routine. Fireplace photos bring brilliance at the fireplace wall, or on top of the fireplace mantle or on either sides of the firebox.
Placing pictures of stacked stone fireplace is as easy as one-two-three. But the key to getting a masterpiece is in the arrangement. In order to achieve that professional fireplace decoration, place your picture frames in asymmetrical manner. Place pictures usually in odd numbers, especially when placing photos on top of the mantle. Groups of three regular sized frame pictures or groups of five small picture frames will do the trick. In a group of three picture frames, arrange them in a decent and considerable distance. Place a very important and significant picture in the center. And two pictures that support that center picture on either side of the mantle. However, do not place these two corner fireplace pictures close to the edge of the mantle or else they become prone to dropping.
Fireplace pictures of five also make a good sight. Arrange them the way you would for a group of three photo frames. Make sure there is enough distance in between the pictures and make sure they are of uniform size. If you need to place only one photo frame in the middle of the mantle make sure it does not compete with a painting on top of the fireplace or another large picture or portrait. In this case, you may put symmetrical arrangement of photo frames usually two or four. If you choose two, place them on the left and right spaces on the mantle with enough distance that will form a triangle base with the top painting or portrait as the head of the triangle. Do the same if you should go for four photo frames arrangement.
Other household however would like to put as much pictures on top of the mantle as they could. This can be very messy to imagine but with the right placement and order this should result to an astounding array of collected memories. In this collection of photo, concentrate large frames in the middle, while spread smaller ones in front of the big ones and sides of the mantle. Place them with ample spaces such that they will not overlap other pictures behind.
Color and composition of the photo frames should also be consistent with the texture of your fireplace. If your fireplace mostly contains the shade of maroon, get photo frames that bear a hue of that color. If the dominant color of the fireplace is white, then go for photo frames with the basics of white. Transparent and glass photo frames are a perfect match to spice your stone fireplace pictures.
Accessorizing and embellishing your fireplace pictures will also mean good decoration as a whole for your place. You may want to add some figurines in between the spaces of photo frames. Or put potpourris or anything that is smaller or thinner than the frames. If you should go for flower vases make sure they are not tall enough to overcrowd and compete with other pictures in the fireplace.
Pictures are definitely the best way to rekindle those memorable moments with your family and friends. Place them in your fireplace in a way that it will boost the magnificence and splendor of it. Remember fireplace pictures’ job is to accessorize and not to over-accessorize your home living.
